Save a few solid friendships throughout the years, I've been mostly unnoticed in various settings. As many a millennial would like to explain, I too, am an introvert. In all honesty, it has its perks. Being present and not at the same time is akin to having invisibility as a superpower. You can pick up a lot of information when you listen more than you speak.

Introversion only turns into a crutch when you realize that success stems largely from how a person can maintain their relationships. Any type of interaction with anybody counts a relationship and can have a greater impact that one tends to realize. Co-workers and ex-bosses can turn into references, classmates and teachers can turn into business partners, and the person you cut off in Miami traffic could easily be the boss you interview with later. Every interaction is a relationship and an introverted personality can find this exhausting. However, an entrepreneurial introvert will understand that proper maintenance of relationships is exhausting AND necessary.

"...Success stems largely from how a person can maintain relationships."

On the premise that success is tied with relationships, another aspect of the dynamic is that a good relationship provides value. Value can mean: being there to listen, offering advice, supporting an effort or simply hanging out. These elements of value are what make relationships meaningful. In regards to relationships, to be meaningful also means to be authentic. One has to really listen, one has to accurately think about advice given, socializing should be inviting and enjoyable to all involved. Even if your relationship is strictly business and transaction-based, the relationship can still be authentically "give and take"

"...To be meaningful also means to be authentic."

So now then, how can an introvert provide value while being authentic and not involved in the company picnic? My chosen medium is writing. To each their own, but I choose to share what I've learned and found useful through writing where I can express myself without thinking about when to nod or when to smile. (It takes me a long time to understand jokes if they aren't memes)

Through this blog, I intend to share useful information that I would like to share that just doesn't have its place when we're talking about the current events I probably missed. Through here, I may talk about small business help, start-up activities, self-help books across different subjects, online courses, videos and anything productive that out cat-filled internet has to offer. Stay tuned and please receive the value that I can share, the best I way I know-how. #smallbusiness #entreprenuer #millenials #laurelmintsolutions #miami #fortlauderdale #selfhelp #business #startup
